Who we are

This website is run by Zlak Construction LTD (“we”, “us”), a company registered in Scotland (company number SC742635), registered office 20 Bunting Place, Kilmarnock, KA1 3LE. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this site. You can contact us about privacy at zlakconstructionltd@gmail.com.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through our contact form we collect:

• your name, phone number and email address
• the town or postcode of your project
• the service you are interested in, and optionally your rough budget and timescale
• anything you choose to tell us about your project

If you contact us by phone, WhatsApp, email or social media, we will hold whatever you send us there.

How we use it

We use your information only to:

• reply to your enquiry and arrange a visit or quote
• carry out and manage any work you ask us to do
• keep records we are required to keep by law (for example for tax)

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to keep in touch.

Our legal basis

Under UK GDPR we rely on steps taken at your request before entering into a contractwhen we respond to an enquiry or prepare a quote, on performance of a contract when we carry out work for you, and on legal obligation for records we must keep.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run this website and handle enquiries:

• Cloudflare: website hosting, security and spam protection (Turnstile)
• Resend: delivering enquiry emails from the website to us
• Google (Gmail): our email inbox

These providers process data on our behalf and may store it outside the UK, under appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations. We will only share your details with anyone else (for example a subcontractor working on your project) where it is needed to do the work, or where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't go ahead are deleted within 12 months. If we work for you, we keep project and financial records for up to 6 years after the job ends, as required for tax and legal purposes.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you. Our spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) may use strictly necessary technical data to check that a form is being sent by a real person.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to ask us to move it elsewhere. Email us at zlakconstructionltd@gmail.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.ukor on 0303 123 1113.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
